Paul Townsend Class
The Paul Townsend Memorial Sunday School Class is currently blessed with a very active group of 29 men and women whose goal is to be God's servants in the church, the community, or wherever or whenever the need arises.
Our Sunday School church calendar runs from September to September. Our class officers for 2013 - 2014 are as follows:
We have about 10 teachers that rotate teaching our S.S. class lessons each Sunday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. This keeps the subject lessons very interesting, from different points of view.
Our class meetings are the second Thursday each month at 6:00 PM in the church fellowship hall (except for special occasions). We usually have a covered dish supper together followed by a short business meeting. Since September, we have already given contributions totaling $550.00 as gifts to the Laurel Shelter, Locust Grove Youth Group Mission Trip, Central Church's S.S. Literature Fund, and individual gifts.
For Christmas and sometimes Valentines Day, the class goes out together to a local restaurant. Also at Christmas, we make gift baskets for our over 80s and shut-ins. On Mother's Day, our class sponsors a special Mother's Day bulletin in memory of or in honor of Mothers or loved ones. We also present a long stem red rose to each lady present during both worship services. Bibles or Devotional Books are presented during worship service by our class, to graduating high school seniors or college graduates of our Central Church family.
We invite anyone to join us for Sunday School in the Paul Townsend Class room or join us in Christian fellowship during any of our class activities throughout the year.
May God richly bless you,
